Vor mehr als 40 Jahren entdeckte Silvia Plüss den Werkstoff Ton als ihre grosse Leidenschaft. Darin fand sie einen Weg, ihren Gefühlen und Emotionen Ausdruck zu verleihen.
Als Autodidaktin besuchte sie Lehrgänge an der Kunstgewerbeschule in Zürich und belegte regelmässig weiterführende Kurse bei namhaften Künstlerinnen und Künstlern. Ein Studienaufenthalt im internationalen Keramikinstitut in Kecskemét, Ungarn, verlieh ihren Werken bis heute prägende Impulse.
Mit Experimentieren, Intuition, grosser Sensibilität für den Werkstoff Ton und mit grosser Leidenschaft geht Silvia Plüss ihren Weg.
